Hello again!
As, I think, I’ve settled into somewhat of a daily routine – I wanted to start sending you all some devotions periodically. I’m praying for all of you daily.
Yesterday I was reading Psalm 37, and verse 7 spoke to me:
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him.
Remember, that Jesus gave everything – for us to be able to come before God the Father and pray.
Even as my family and I are all home, as the laundry is done (a miracle!) and the house is clean…my mind wants to race and “find things to do”. These words speak to me, because all God wants is for me to be with Him.
I think about Jesus spending time with Mary and Martha. Martha was busy running around, preparing a meal for them to eat – and Mary sat at Jesus’ feet, spending time with him.
God knows the things we need to do, and every worry we are carrying. God wants us to come to Him, so we can be filled with the peace and assurance of His presence and spirit. God wants to love us, and show us His love.
Friends – take some time (maybe right now), to be still before God. Now is as good a time as any. :). Make it your daily habit. Make it your moment to moment thing.
Be loved, and filled with God’s presence. Amen!
I wanted to share a song I wrote a little over 10 years ago. I’ve been shy about sharing this before (not sure how good it was) – but it’s my testimony of what God has done in my life. The link to the song is attached.
I love you, folks. Be blessed and take comfort in God’s love.
Denise
