Memorial Day – 2020
John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
Just a simple thought today. A simple thought with the greatest importance.
We pause this day to remember and honor those who were asked to serve our country, who showed their greatest act of love for our country.
We remember today the simple freedoms we enjoy – and even our ability to withstand this pandemic, are gifts given to us from those who have served and protected what we as a country hold dear. They have given all, and shown us the greatest love for our country.
We are grateful.
Romans 8:24-25
For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.
Jesus Christ came, and fought the battle for our souls. Apart from Jesus, we were lost.
Now we are free and now we are children of our Father in Heaven because of Jesus. He laid his life down to show us the greatest love for each one of us. Our hope in Jesus, the king of our souls.
We are grateful, so very grateful.
Amen!
