28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.” ~ Acts 17:28
It’s hard to believe that Election Day is here. (It’s hard to believe it’s November!)
I pray all of you are having a good day. My thoughts today are simple. I pray that each of you have had the opportunity to vote. My hope for all of us is that we would be filled with the peace of God in knowing that Christ is King, and God is in control.
I want to encourage all of us to be committed at this point on in our lives to be people of Christ’s love and peace. No matter what the outcome of the election – we live and move and have our being because of Jesus Christ.
The light of Christ is what changes the world – and it is the light of Christ in each of you that has the power to change the community we’re called to serve.
Right here and now, let’s commit to being people of Christ’s light. Let’s:
- Be great listeners.
- Be great helpers.
- See every person as a person created in God’s image.
- Love big.
- Not get angry.
- Be quick to forgive.
- Have faith in God, that He is always working in our lives.
Because of Jesus, we live and move and have our being. We can approach the throne of God in confidence because of the grace of Jesus. We have hope beyond this life, and every Election Day, because of Jesus.
Today, this November 3rd – let’s go out into this world and be people of Christ’s great light.
Amen!
