Good morning everyone!
I pray that you are well. Every one of you is on my heart as I pray for each of you by name for God’s love and comfort. I pray for God to keep you safe and for God to provide you what you need. Please reach out to me if there is anything I can help you with.
Isaiah 12:2
“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”
If you are anything like me, I find different emotions coming to me like waves. I’ll feel calm, and measured at one point – and then at another I feel growing anxiety thinking about all of the things that “could happen”. I will remind myself to pray, and trust God – which helps – I find God and peace in these times. But then another wave comes and I feel anxiety rising again.
Romans 8:31-39 New International Version (NIV)
More Than Conquerors
31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[b]neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Friends – take comfort in knowing that God is with you. Nothing in this world – not even a virus, can separate us from God.
Let’s stay committed to reaching out to each other. Attached is the membership list that Karen has worked hard on. Please look it over, and let us know if there is anything that needs to be updated.
Let’s stay committed to finding our strength in God, who is here with us. Let’s be committed to reaching out to each other – to pray and encourage each other.
God is with us, God will see us through this time. I wanted to share a song that is one of my favorites – a song that I’ve been reaching for as I’ve felt those waves of different emotions rising in my spirit. The Lord is our strength and Song. Amen!
