DeBows Food Pantry

DeBows UMC, in partnership with Fulfill (formerly known as “The FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties”) offers a Community Food Pantry, which is open on the 2nd & 4th Mon‌day each month, 5:45 to 7:45 PM. You may come anytime 5:45 to 7:45 PM. If you have any questions, please call 848-373-8844.

The Food Pantry Ministry serves up to 150 families twice a month. We are extremely appreciative of the volunteers that make our Food Pantry possible, and we welcome anyone interested in getting involved. Please send email to the Food Pantry Team if you need further information or would like to explore ways to help with the Food Pantry ministry.

NOTE: There is a continuous need for reusable shopping bags to facilitate the distribution of food. Any donations of clean, reusable shopping bags would be greatly appreciated. There is a receptacle to place donated bags outside of Fellowship Hall.

DeBows United Methodist Church

DeBows had its beginnings in 1867.  It was then known as the DeBows Methodist Episcopal Sabbath School.  Christian education classes and worship were held in a small schoolhouse near the site of the present church building.

In May of 1896, DeBows was incorporated and officially became a Methodist Episcopal Church. Land was purchased at the current location and a new church building was erected.

For the most up-to-date information concerning DeBows UMC activities, event schedules, general church information, or to view recent newsletters, you may visit the church website anytime at debowsumc.org.

Along with the normal newsletter (every other week), special emails will be sent out once in a while for prayer requests, event cancellations, or other time-sensitive news. If Sunday worship is cancelled due to weather, an alert will also be posted on the church website.

All church communication emails will be based on the newsletter subscription list, so if you have not already subscribed to the church newsletter, we invite you to subscribe now. Just visit the church website and use the subscription form in the bottom right-hand corner of the homepage.
