For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in. – Matthew 25:35
DeBows UMC, in partnership with Fulfill (formerly known as “The FoodBank of Monmouth & Ocean Counties”) offers a Community Food Pantry, which is open on the 2nd & 4th Monday each month, 5:45 to 7:45 PM. You may come anytime 5:45 to 7:45 PM. If you have any questions, please call 848-373-8844.
We are extremely appreciative of the volunteers that make our Food Pantry possible, and we welcome anyone interested in getting involved. Please send email to the Food Pantry Team if you need further information or would like to explore ways to help with the Food Pantry ministry.
WANT TO VOLUNTEER? — We are currently distributing food to as many as 150 families twice a month. Volunteers are always needed and to effectively manage that process we now have an online signup page. On this page you can specify the exact day & time you are available to volunteer. Use the below link to access the Volunteer Signup Page. — Thank You
PLEASE NOTE — Many of the food items distributed are obtained through our affiliation with the Fulfill. However, some items we could use from other sources include toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, bar soap, and other hygiene items. If you would like to donate any of these items, please bring them to the church or call 848-373-8844. Please check the expiration dates on anything you donate, as we cannot distribute expired items.
There is also a continuous need for reusable shopping bags to facilitate the distribution of food. Any donations of clean, reusable shopping bags would be greatly appreciated. There is a receptacle to place donated bags outside of Fellowship Hall.
