SPECIAL COMMUNITY MISSION ACTIVITY
On Monday, November 24, DeBows will conduct its annual Thanksgiving Food Pantry distribution. Meal kits containing the makings for a complete Thanksgiving dinner will be distributed on this day to people in our community. In this season of “Thanksgiving”, it is always a blessing to be able to share our abundance with others. The DeBows Food Pantry Ministry has a goal to build 120 meal kits this year. Your generosity will help make this a special Thanksgiving for all involved.
THERE ARE THREE WAYS YOU CAN HELP
DONATE A SPECIFIC FOOD ITEM — Most items needed will be supplied via the Fullfil food bank program, but there are four types of items still needed to complete the dinners. You can use the following link to sign up to provide some of these items. We would like to have all items to the church by November 16. Please be sure to check the expiration dates.
PACKING DAY — In preparation for the November 24 distribution, there will be a congregation-wide packing day on Saturday, November 22, starting at 10:30 AM. The bags/boxes used for distribution will be filled with the dinner items at this time.
FINANCIAL DONATION — If you prefer to support this mission activity financially, you can make a donation by using the 2 methods below. This will allow the Food Pantry team to purchase any remaining items needed to complete the meal kits.
- By using the “Mission” envelope found in the pew — write “Thanksgiving Food Pantry” on envelope along with your name and put in the collection box in the narthex.
- By making an online donation using the below link — type “Thanksgiving Food Pantry” in the “Purpose” field.
