Advent Starts on November 30

Sunday, November 30, 2025 is the First Sunday of Advent.

Advent is a four-week season dedicated to reflective preparation for the arrival, “advent”, of Jesus’ birth at Christmas time as well and Christ’s expected return in the Second Coming. During this important season in the church calendar, each week of Advent focuses on a different theme – hope, peace, joy, and love. 

Please join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 9 AM.

NOTE: On this day, the church will also start using Year A of the Revised Common Lectionary. You can see more information about the Lectionary by clicking HERE.

DeBows Food Pantry

The DeBows Food Pantry is open on the 2nd & 4th Mon‌day each month, 5:45 to 7:45 PM. You may come anytime 5:45 to 7:45 PM. If you have any questions, please call 848-373-8844.

The Food Pantry Ministry serves over 100 families twice a month. We are extremely appreciative of the volunteers that make our Food Pantry possible, and we welcome anyone interested in getting involved. Please send email to the Food Pantry Team if you need further information or would like to explore ways to help with the Food Pantry ministry.

NOTE: There is a continuous need for reusable shopping bags to facilitate the distribution of food. Any donations of clean, reusable shopping bags would be greatly appreciated. There is a receptacle to place donated bags outside of Fellowship Hall.

Along with the normal newsletter (every other week), special emails will be sent out once in a while for prayer requests, event cancellations, or other time-sensitive news. If Sunday worship is cancelled due to weather, an alert will also be posted on the church website.
