Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. Lent is a season of forty days, not counting Sundays, which begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday. It is a season of repentance and preparation for the coming of Easter and a time of self-examination and reflection.
Ash Wednesday Observances:
- The DeBows sanctuary will be open 9-11 AM for Prayers & Receiving of Ashes
- There will be an Ash Wednesday Worship Service at Groveville UMC at 6:30 PM
Advent Starts on December 1
Sunday, December 1, 2024 is the First Sunday of Advent.
Advent is a four-week season dedicated to reflective preparation for the arrival, “advent”, of Jesus’ birth at Christmas time as well and Christ’s expected return in the Second Coming. During this important season in the church calendar, each week of Advent focuses on a different theme – hope, peace, joy, and love.
Please join us for worship on Sunday mornings at 9 AM.
